How to update your WordPress Core Version

If there’s a core update available, WordPress will notify you with a non-dismissable prompt at the top of every page in your admin dashboard. 

1. Login to your WordPress Admin Dashboard
2. In left menu > Click “Dashboard” > click “Updates”
3. If there’s a new release available, you should see a prompt “Update Now”
4. Click “Update Now” button

During the update, WordPress will automatically put your site into maintenance mode.

When the update finishes, WordPress will automatically make your site live again.
